Says Rajkumar, one of the accused in Aarushi Talwar murder case
The Aarushi Talwar murder case is making news again.
In a sensational statement, one of the key accused in the double murder, Rajkumar, has said he is facing a threat to his life from Aarushi's father Dr Rajesh Talwar.
Rajkumar, a former domestic help, met the Meerut range's inspector general of police and lodged a complaint.
Meanwhile, Dr Talwar has termed the allegations baseless. "The accusation is shocking and baseless. I have no contact with Rajkumar. The only motive of my life is to see the real culprit punished," said Talwar.
The CBI, which took over the investigation into the mysterious murder of 15-year-old Aarushi and her domestic help Hemraj at their Noida residence in May 2008, had earlier sought Rajkumar's return from Nepal. He is one of the three main accused in the case.
Rajkumar and the other two accused - Krishna Thadarai and Vijay Mandal have been out on bail since September 2008. Rajkumar is a friend of Krishna, who worked for Aarushi's father.
The Uttar Pradesh Police had initially arrested Dr Talwar but the CBI later gave him a clean chit.
