An 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a man from her village in Uttar Pradesh's Bairia, police said on Tuesday.
The accused allegedly abducted the girl, who was recovered from another village in the same area on Monday, they said. After she alleged rape, her mother filed a complaint with the police.

An FIR was registered against the accused under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and provisions of the POCSO Act at Bairia police station.

The accused was arrested on Tuesday, the police said.
