Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), World Trade Center, Nariman Point, Navi Mumbai, South Mumbai and Mumbai suburbs will be in the network of this new bus service.

At present, commuters from these areas use their private vehicles or use buses or taxis and face traffic jams. At present, 210 air-conditioned buses run on 28 routes in Mumbai. The new scheme will help strengthen this network.

A survey will be conducted to ascertain the demands of the commuters and finalise the routes. After the survey, the rate of tickets and the kind of services will be finalised.

"Those interested in availing the services will have to go on www.bestcommute.org and fill an online form. Information regarding the new bus service is being provided to companies and corporate offices. Those interested in getting more information about the scheme will have to send their inputs on mailmtsu@gmail.com," a statement issued by Chief Minister's office said.u00a0
