Film star Tara should probably have studied what her stars had to say before she called astrologer Daivagna Somayaji who she expects to help her win a seat in the Legislative Council.
With the BJP expected to win six seats in the Council polls scheduled next month, Somayaji, who is known to share excellent rapport with the BJP top brass, was approached by Tara.
It was Somayaji who had predicted in 2007 that B S Yeddyurappa would not be able to enjoy the CM's chair.

When H D Kumaraswami of JD (S) went back on his promise to share power, and while he was made CM, Yeddyurappa could not manage on the helm beyond seven days.
When the state went for polls, Somayaji had predicted that Yeddyurappa would become chief minister. When his predictions came true, Somayaji rose in power and influence in BJP circles.
Rising influenceHis influence over the state politics was well evident when Yeddyurappa visited him soon after taking oath as the chief minister in May 2008.
Tara, a national award winner, had expected Somayaji to help her out. She had tried her luck last January, when the government nominated members to the upper house, but in vain.
This despite the fact that she is considered to be close to BY Raghavendra, Yeddyurappa' s son and MP from Shimoga.
Shock and aweTara's call left the star astrologer shocked. He was terribly upset with the way she addressed him. "I think she doesn't know etiquette," said Somayaji.
"She did not introduce herself and began talking to me as if we were at the middle of the some discussion. He manner was extremely casual."
Not surprisingly, when the actress sought an appointment for Monday, So Somayaji refused to
meet her.
I am sorry
Tara told MiD DAY that she was willing to say sorry. "I know he is elderly, which is why I addressed him as Appa, which means father. I think he mistook my affection for disrespect.u00a0 If he is upset I am willing to apologise."
A film personality who knows Tara closely said she was not diplomatic and would therefore not make a good politician.
"As a person, she is very good. However, is easy to mistake her because of the way she talks.

In any case, if she does make it to the Legislative Council and then to the cabinet, I am sure she will provide good fodder for news."
