Battle of the bartenders

It was a night dedicated to those who conjure up magic with spirits and simple ingredients like mint leaves and lemon zest. The Bartender of the Year 2009 contest drew enthusiastic participation from 19 hotels and F&B outlets in the city.

The contest, held over two days, saw five contestants qualifying for the big battle. Danny D'Sylva was declared The Blue Bar Bartender of the Year 2009. His winning concoctions were the Indian Spices Martini and the Lord of Martini.
