'They say I was born in 1960 but my parents were married in 1962'

FSL's beleaguered assistant director Dr Malini is planning to go to court after home minister V S Acharya agreed to dismiss her in the legislative council on Tuesday.

"I will definitely fight. I should fight because I believe I'm honest, I'm true to my conscience... I'm talking to lawyer about this and exploring legal options," she said. "I think it's a politically orchestrated conspiracy... by people who are frustrated by the results of our work." Here, she gives us her answers to unanswered questions:

On her security

"No, I'm not (worried about my security)u00a0... I know there's God on my side."

The DOB issue

"That's completely false. They say I was born in 1960 but my parents were married in 1962. How could I have been born before that?"

The CBI inquiry

"There was no inquiry. Nandkumar Nair from CBI came to take our statement on a CD/ video, whether it was the original one. That is what the court had asked for. We identified the CD and gave the statement."

Giving back

"I've won two national awards and several state awards... how can they take a suo motu decision like this.. ? They didn't even give me an opportunity to give my version... I have done nothing wrong... they are not taking the truth, only using falsified facts against me.

"I've had several offers before but I wanted to stay here and do something in this field for Karnataka as Iu00a0 belong to this stateu00a0... and this is how the Karnataka police has paid me back."
