If you are an Arsenal or a Chelsea fan, don't even bother reading the rest of this article. Chances are, you might suffer from an inferiority complex with all the pampering the Red Devils are in for.

But if you happen to be one of the estimated 20 million die-hard Manchester United fans across the country, you might soon find reprieve in the over-polished hallways of Palladium at Phoenix Mills.

The first Manchester United Cafe Bar in India opens its doors to the soccer-obsessed clan early next month.

"The concept takes inspiration from the Old Trafford or the Theatre of Dreams, which is the Mecca of Manchester United," says business head Prashant Narula.

From the Dugout-shaped area you can watch three mega sporting events on three different screens

The predictable red-and-black colour schemed-cafe has three of its tables exclusively dedicated to three legendary players: Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand.

But where the cafe scores big time is its mammoth 19-feet screen that will telecast live sporting events.

While we were getting a sneak peek of the cafe, framed photographs of the club's historic moments were still being put up on the Wall of Fame near the entrance.

A tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson, manager of the Club, comes in the form of the popular Manager's Bench.

A long community table ensures that you can clink your beer mugs and backslap strangers over a goal, a private party room lets you plug in to Nintendo Wii and PS3, while a memorabilia counter lets you purchase collectibles like hats, pins, games and tees.

But we were terribly disappointed by the 1 am deadline. If you drop in at the sports bar to watch a Champions League match that starts at 12.30 am (IST), you will be herded out even before the first half is over.

"We might have a repeat telecast of these matches the next day," informs Narula. But will that excite a true Manchester United fan?

At: Palladium, Phoenix Mills, Senapati Bapat Marg, Lower Parel. The first match (Man Utd v/s Arsenal) to be telecasted on January 31, is by invitation only. The Guide gives away five free passes for the event.
Don't you dare say this in a Man Utd Cafe

>> ManU / ManU ManU went on a plane ManU ManU never came back again (refers to those who died in the Munich air disaster).
>> Is Manchester United and Manchester City the same thing?
>> It's time old Fergie retires.
>> Is that a Liverpool tee you are wearing inside your jacket?
>> Letting Tevez go was the smartest thing Sir Alex
could do.
>> Don't you think Rooney needs hair transplant?
