The person was identified as Ram Bharat (32), a city-based travel agency owner. Ram claimed he had no knowledge about the objects found in his bag. "I had just entered the station when suddenly there was chaos all around. All the security personnel looked alarmed," said Arun Aggarwal, a passenger. Another commuter, Shyama, said, "I thought it was a bomb alarm. Everybody was panicked."

"Investigations are underway and we have impounded all the objects. We are trying to find out the source of the gun, cartridges and rounds. We are also trying to ascertain whether they were obtained illegally. Till we track the owner, nothing can be said or done in this matter," said a police officer. Meanwhile, activities at the station came almost to a halt as authorities had to do thorough checks.
