Three persons, including a policeman, were on Thursday injured when police cane-charged protestors after they threw stones at Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan's helicopter at Shivneri fort, around 100 km from here.
Activists of Maratha organisations, who were demanding reservation for their community, threw stones at Chavan's helicopter before it landed at the fort on the occasion of the birth anniversary celebration of Chhatrapati Shivaji.
A policeman and two activists of Sambhaji Brigade were injured in the incident, police said.
Pune rural police chief R Kadam said that the trouble broke out before Chavan's helicopter landed at the fort and the situation was now under control.
