The southeast division police have arrested a man from Mumbai who had kidnapped a four-year-old child from Bangalore for ransom.
The accused, Sunil, had come to Bangalore in search of a job. He went to the house of A Krishnappa, an acquaintance, and asked for a job.
When Krishnappa replied in the negative, Sunil demanded money from him to return to Mumbai. When Krishnappa refused to give him money enraged Sunil kidnapped his son, Prajwal, and took him to Mumbai.
He later called up krishnappa and demanded a ransom of Rs 50,000 for Prajwal's release. The police convinced Krishnappa to tell Sunil he would come to deliver the ransom.

Later a team of police went to Mumbai and nabbed Sunil who was waiting near a Sai Baba temple at Panwel. The child was handed over to the parents and the accused was brought to the city after producing him before a local court.
