A man, fed up of getting inflated electricity bills and demand of bribe to rectify it, today allegedly attacked an employee of electricity department, police said.
Noida: A man, fed up of getting inflated electricity bills and demand of bribe to rectify it, today allegedly attacked an employee of electricity department, police said.
The accused, identified as Sunil Kumar and a resident of Noida, attacked Jatinder, posted at a sub-station at Sector 39 and allegedly poured some liquid on him, injuring him. Police has arrested Kumar, said Dharmendra Chauhan SHO, Sector 39.
According to police, Kumar had alleged that he received the inflated power bill and staff was demanding bribe. The injured employee was admitted to a hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.
