Gautam Lunawat is a stockbroker by profession and harmonica teacher for passion
If you thought the life of a stockbroker revolves only around bulls and bears, here's an exception. Gautam Lunawat (38), a stockbroker by profession, teaches the harmonica to fulfill his passion.
"I have been playing the harmonica since school," said Gautam, who attended J N Petit School at Bund Garden Road followed by Wadia College of Engineering. After he passed out from college, Lunawat took up a job with a market research organisation. "At that time I played only for myself and friends," added Gautam.
His turning point came when he went for a trek to Ratangarh last year, after which he agreed to teach a friend the instrument, who suggested he teach others as well. And since then, there has been no looking back.
"I gave an ad in the papers and the response was overwhelming. So far, I have taught around 60 students," he added. Commenting on the city, Lunawat said, "I have a crush on Pune."
When he is teaching his students, he forgets the stock market and completely engrosses himself in music. Cricket and Big B are his two other passions.
Students say
In three classes, I learn to play a full song and it feels really good. The class is my stress-buster.

I wanted to learn the harmonica since I saw Jai in Sholay. Gautam sir played the instrument so effortlessly and taught us like a friend.
