The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances will present the award at Aurangabad on February 10. An overwhelmed police chief Shankar Bidari said, "B-track has been implemented in Bangalore during 2008, 2009 and 2010, with financial support of about Rs 120 crore from the State Government."
"With its implementation, the city has earned the distinction of having the most modern technology-driven traffic enforcement system, with paperless procedure in the country. This has not only enforced strict traffic rules, but also helped in preventing accidents in and around the city," he added.

This is despite the city limit expansion from 600 square km to 1,200 square km, and traffic problems in the city because of miscellaneous work on the Metro, fly-overs and underpasses and bridges. The city has around 4 million vehicles, second only to Delhi.
Effective results
In 2009, notices were generated in respect to 35 per cent of the cases recorded by the installed video cameras and under the B-track scheme inu00a0 2010, it has gone up to 61 per cent.
