Two groups of youth clashed over food at a religious programme late on Tuesday night; one group took its anger out
on parked bikes, cars and autos
Around 20 bikes, cars and autos were damaged at Kasewadi in Bhavani Peth late on Tuesday night after a group of youths went on a rampage following a brawl with another group during a religious programme.

The Khadak police have arrested four suspects in this case. They have been identified as Aakash Gorakh Jadhav (18) from Kasewadi and Gajanan alias Sanjay Ganesh Mane (21), Naresh Narsingh Kuli (24) and Aakash Dadasaheb Mane (20), all from Lohiyanagar.
They have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code on charges of damaging public property and breach of public peace. Two juveniles have also been taken into custody by the Khadak police.
Police Inspector M Sawant from Khadak police station said, "A religious programme was organised in Kasewadi area in which two groups clashed with each other over food. After the brawl, some youths went on a rampage in the area damaging two-wheelers, four-wheelers and auto rickshaws parked on the road. These youths also had swords and sticks with them."
The youths attacked vehicles parked between Bhagva chowk and Pimpalmala and broke their glass panes. Heavy police bandobast was done after this incident was reported to the police, added Sawant.
