Shake a leg, swing a boomerang, and rack your brains as you watch these B-school participants earn brownie points with quizmaster, Shah Rukh Khan, this Monday
Google for the word 'legendary' and you just might find Shah Rukh Khan there. This Khan, also known as the King Khan, who has his humble roots in Delhi, rose to become India's biggest Bollywood star -- peerless, image-obsessed and magnificent. What he did or left undone isn't what draws us to him, but it's his sheer, vast repertoire and undeniable energy, in everything that he takes on, that makes us want him oh-so-much-more!
Management guru Arindham Choudhary did wisely when he chose SRK to quiz these upcoming B-School talents from all across the country. He gives us some inside dope on the Monday evening event at IIPM, where Shah Rukh Khan takes on India's young business whizzards in a three-hour long quiz.
Namita Gupta: Shah Rukh Khan hosts your quiz this Monday. What's in store?
Arindham Choudhary: Yes it's true that SRK is hosting our quiz. We host IIPM 4ps Business & Marketing B- School Quiz every year. It's a three year contract with Shah Rukh Khan and we are very excited about it with this being the second year. His image of being Bollywood's intelligent face due to his economic honors education background goes very well with our Institute's aim of having intellectually superior course content. Moreover we wanted it to be a global event, and there is no Indian who has a bigger global appeal than him.
NG: What does the event on February 8 have in store?
AC: It's the 4ps business and marketing quiz. With Shah Rukh on the stage, there is more than a quiz that the evening holds in store. It's going to be one hell of an entertaining show. Last year's quiz in Delhi was absolutely crazy.
NG: So, why Shah Rukh Khan?
AC: I think it's the best association we could have had. His image goes far beyond him just being an actor. He is one of the wittiest people in India today and hence the perfect choice for a big B School event.
NG: Why this hype?
AC: Whatever we do at our B-school, we do on a grand scale.
NG: Is the show open to public?
AC: It's a ticketed show for Rs 1,000 in Koramangala.

NG: Is it also an entertainment night besides the quizzing? What's the format of the quiz?
AC: During breaks of the three-hour show there would be songs. The straight forward volley of Q&A format is passu00e9; our Dare format has audiovisuals, performances, dares, challenges, audience interactions, surprises, gift hampers and guiding the audience through all of this is our host Shah Rukh Khan at his charming and wittiest best. Don't be surprised if you see him dancing with the participants to the tunes of popular songs from his hit films at times or even inviting someone from the eager audience to perform a dare alongside him.
NG: What are your expansion plans?
AC: IIPM's expansions plans from this year are going to be completely global as India expansions ended this year with the ten new branches. We will go about selecting new places abroad depending upon our research results on the potential of each of the cities. We have a new campus at Electronic city very close to the Infosys campus.
NG: Any advice to young people planning to take up courses with your institute?
AC: My word to students coming to IIPM is that they should know that IIPM is the place for world class academic pursuits and that's the only reason they should join us. Everything else is an add-on. Our motto is always, under promise and over deliver on education and that's what they will realize in the first week at IIPM. I also advice the students looking for alternatives to always speak to existing seniors before joining any B-school. Claiming big things is very easy. The reality is often the very opposite.
