Reliance Energy, the power distribution business arm of Reliance Infrastructure Limited(RInfra), has won the prestigious IEEMA National Award for the 'Excellence in Power Distribution-Urban'.
RInfra distributes power to suburban Mumbai till Dahisar.
Jairam Ramesh, Ex-Union Minister of State for Commerce & Power presented the prestigious award at New Delhi.
Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturer's Association (IEEMA), an institution of professionals in the power industry, confers such awards to power distributors for adopting various systems, technologies and procedures that may optimise better services to their customers, minimise the losses and achieve better customer satisfaction.
Some of the recent initiatives offered by RInfra are electricity bills in preferred language, bills for visually challenged, and e-bills for the consumers.
