Dejected over denial of hall ticket by his college, a second pre-university student of Sheshadripuram College in Yalahanka committed suicide by hanging. The deceased G Nandu was a resident of Hebbal.
His family members alleged that Nandu was a good student and never missed classes. But the college authorities cited attendance shortage as the reason and allegedly demanded Rs 8,000 from him.
Since the family's financial condition was not good, Nandu didn't inform anyone about it and decided to end life, alleged Kiran Kumar, Nandu's brother.
On Wednesday, Nandu returned home from the hospital where his grandfather was admitted and later went to college to get the hall ticket.
