Three students of a government school were hospitalised allegedly after being brutally beaten by their principal for not bringing textbooks, police said Tuesday
Ashish Shukla, the principal of Govindpur Primary School (GPS), allegedly assaulted three class 5 students of the school while carrying out a surprise inspection Monday.
"The matter came to the fore today (Tuesday) only when the parents of the three students approached the district police chief with the medical report of their kids, who have received multiple injuries," Police Inspector Giri Singh told reporters in Bahraich, some 140-km from Lucknow.
According to the parents, the principal lost his temper and started kicking students when he came to know that the kids were not having books of certain subjects at that time.
