In a shocking incident, a woman in Pune's Viman Nagar was secretly filmed by society residents, following which they attempted to defame her. The woman has now filed a complaint in this case with the Vimantal police station.
According to a report in Pune Mirror, the 19-year-old watchman of a Viman Nagar society, who has been working there for two years, helped the 48-year-old complainant with many chores. One day, when the watchman was talking to her, the two were filmed by a resident identified as Rajendra Bansode, a police officer said.
Later, Bansode went on to spread rumours based on the video among other residents. Following this, the woman lodged a complaint after which Bansode was arrested.
"As the woman and watchman were talking together on the society's premises, the accused, for the purpose of defaming the woman, secretly took a video and showed the residents living in the society. The residents also tried to reason with the accused when he was blatantly forwarding the video. However, he did not relent," states the FIR filed by the woman.
