Ambedkar row: Heated argument between BJP & Congress takes place in Parliament premises

A political controversy broke out over Union Home Minister Amit Shah`s remarks about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in the Rajya Sabha. The Congress accused Shah of insulting Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. In response, BJP leaders claimed that the opposition was spreading misinformation using edited videos. Congress President and Leader of Opposition, Mallikarjun Kharge, demanded an apology from Amit Shah for his comments. In protest, MPs from the INDIA Alliance climbed the walls of Makar Dwar at Parliament, holding placards and demanding Shah`s apology and resignation. The situation led to a heated war of words between the BJP and Congress within the Parliament premises.
