International sports like golf, auto racing, basketball and football are making their mark in India and I am hopeful that India will soon do well in these sports.

As a cricketer,I am happy that our team has won the World Cup after 28 years. This success will surely boost upcoming players and take Indian cricket to a great high.

The other thing on my mind is the growth of IPL in India. I think IPL is a perfect model designed by BCCI to bring out young and domestic talent in the country.

Domestic players now get an opportunity to mix with the international stars and play competitive cricket with them.
