A man on the run for 10 years after severely assaulting his wife has been found working as a prison guard in a Chinese city
Authorities are now being asked as to how they hired a fugitive, the Shanghai Daily reported Friday.
The man in question, Wang Zhijia, allegedly beat up his wife with a brick and left her with severe head injuries at their home in Dengfeng city in Henan province in May 2001.
He disappeared soon after and travelled to Anhui province where he faked a new identity using his brother's personal details.
