Google, on Wednesday, honoured American astronomer and gay rights activist Dr. Frank Kameny with a doodle. The search engine giant celebrated the start of the Pride Month with the doodle on Dr. Kameny, who is one of the renowned figures of the American LGBTQ+ rights movement.

In a series of tweets on the Google Doodle official handle, Google said Kameny was "one of the most prominent figures of the US LGBTQ rights movement" and thanked him "for courageously paving the way for decades of progress."
