Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to bat in the World Cup Group B match against the West Indies at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium on Friday.
Both teams have one win each from two matches and the game could prove crucial in deciding quarter-final berths in a group that includes India, England and South Africa.
Bangladesh and the West Indies retained the same teams that beat Ireland and the Netherlands respectively.
