Australia were 469 for three at lunch on the second day of the fourth and final Test against India at the Adelaide Oval on Wednesday.
Michael Clarke completed his double in 256 balls and joined the likes of Don Bradman and Graeme Smith who have hit two double tons as a captain in the same series.
Ricky Ponting was not out 198 with skipper Michael Clarke on 210.
