India won the trophy by beating archrivals Pakistan in the final of the Women's Twenty20 Asia Cup in Guangzhou, China, on October 31.
According to Customs officials, an office bearer carrying the trophy was passing through the green channel, when the Customs official on duty stopped him.
"A passenger on a Jet Airways flight from Dubai to Mumbai, who was carrying the cup was stopped for screening at 7.30 pm yesterday by officials. We will ascertain the value of the trophy, and will also find out whether it is exempt from Customs duty, before it is released," said a Customs official.
