Pakistan and Essex leg-spinner Danish Kaneria has been given a clean chit by the Essex Police, who were investigating his role in an alleged rigged County match last season.
The 29-year-old was arrested in May on suspicion of fraud and released on bail without charge pending further inquiries.
"The police have cleared Danish as they didn't find any concrete evidence to support the allegations," The Daily Times quoted Danish's lawyer Furqan Anwar, as saying.
Kaneria was questioned by police investigating allegations that two Essex players placed bets on their Pro-40 match against Durham last September.
