The Bombay High Court refused to grant an interim stay to Shetty on his writ petition challenging MCA's amendments. Recently, MCA's managing committee moved an amendment barring permanent employees of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Indian Premier League from contesting MCA polls.

Shetty, who is BCCI's General Manager Game Development, challenged the amendment in the High Court shortly after getting a stay order on the five-year ban from the Association for his alleged black marketing remarks in the last AGM.
"The High Court has dismissed Shetty's appeal. The court asked Shetty to file a regular suit if at all he wishes to challenge again," MCA Joint Honorary Secretary Nitin Dalal told MiD DAY.
Shetty will decide later whether to appeal in the Supreme Court. "I am waiting for the copy of the court order. Only after that will I decide whether to appeal. I have to discuss it with my lawyers as well," said Shetty, who is all set to launch his panel for the elections in a few days.
Meanwhile, another MCA member Mayank Parekh's appeal regarding the amendment is likely to be heard in the City Civil court today.u00a0
