Many English fans were seen at the Wankhede Stadium on Day One of the Test yesterday. Some of them also stood in queue for tickets on the eve of the game and on the first morning.
"It's a great ground to watch a game," said one England supporter. The English fans sat in the Garware Pavilion, the Sachin Tendulkar and the North Stand, adorning those structures with numerous flags.
The Sachin Tendulkar Stand is in the eye of the sun for most of the day and one could see numerous Englishmen settling in without their shirts, perhaps inviting a tan.
One of them in the Garware Pavilion said, "An experienced Englishman in India will first ask which stand has shade and then buy his tickets. I'm sure these guys there (pointing to the Tendulkar stand) have just arrived yesterday from the cold weather back home," he said.
