As Mahendra Singh Dhoni gets ready to play his first International match in his home city, his alma mater Jawahar Vidya Mandir plans to send its best wishes to the Indian cricket captain who passed out in the batch of 1999.

The Jawahar Vidya Mandir, with more than 5,000 students and 225 teaching staff, will send messages through Dhoni's sister Jayanti Gupta, who incidentally is a primary teacher in the same school.u00a0

"Unfortunately, with the huge demand of tickets, most of us would not make it to the ground (on January 19). But we will make sure that our good wishes reach Dhoni through his sister," principal D R Singh told PTI.

"We are really proud of this moment. Our school boy has made the whole country proud. So it's a big moment when he is going to play here. I'm sure Dhoni would do well to win it for India," he added.

India will take on England in the third match of the five-ODI series that is locked 1-1.u00a0
