West Indies were 69 for three in reply to England's first innings of 569 for six declared, a deficit of 500, when play resumed after a second bad light break on the third day of the second Test here on Saturday.
When reports last came in, West Indies needed a further 301 runs to avoid the follow-on with Ramnaresh Sarwan not outu00a0 on 28 and Shivnarine Chanderpaul yet to open his account.
