Former India pace ace Zaheer Khan and Bollywood hit flick, Chak De India star, Sagarika Ghatge tied the knot at a private ceremony in the city yesterday. The couple had a registered marriage, it is learnt. The first pictures after their wedding went viral on social media with fans and followers showering the couple with their blessings and best wishes. While Sagarika donned a beautiful red saree, Zaheer chose a peach kurta pyjama for the occasion. Anjana Sharma, head of business for Zaheer's Prosport Fitness Studio, shared the photos of the newly-wed couple on her Instagram account.

Soon after, the cricket brigade sent in their best wishes on social media too. "And the last man from the group is down. Welcome to the other side of the world Zak. Wish you both a blissful marriage @ImZaheer @sagarikavghatge," wrote India opening batsman Rohit Sharma.
"Congratulations to you @ImZaheer for a new life. Wish lots of happiness to both," wrote former India captain Sourav Ganguly. The couple had a party for close family and friends at a city hotel last night. The reception will be held on November 27.
