The International Cricket Council on Tuesday revealed the ICC ODI team of the year in which the Indian cricket team stars are dominating the list.
The team include players from ICC World Cup 2023 finalists and semi-finalists, the ICC said in a statement.

Rohit Sharma has been named as the captain of the ICC ODI team of the year. He and Shubman Gill are at the opening spots. Rohit scored 1,255 ODI runs in 2023 and Gill finished the year as the highest run-scorer in the format. He also struck a stupendous double-century against New Zealand.

At number three is Australia's Travis Head. He played a pivotal role in the Aussie's World Cup campaign. He struck a century against India in the final of the mega event last year.
The middle order of the teams comprises India's Virat Kohli, New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell and Heinrich Klaasen. Kohli was the second-highest run-scorer in ODIs after Shubman Gill. The star Indian batsman also broke the record of Sachin Tendulkar for most centuries in the format. He also ended the 2023 global showpiece as the highest run-scorer.

The Kiwi star Daryl Mitchell also registered 1,204 runs including five centuries last year. He batted at an average of 52.34 and with a strike rate of 100.24. Proteas' Klaasen too dominated thw whole year with the bat.
The bowling unit consists of Marco Jansen, Adam Zampa, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Shami.
Jansen played the perfect role of all-rounder for South Africa in the ICC World Cup 2023. Zampa bagged 38 wickets in the whole year and also registered a four-for in three successive World Cup fixtures, besides finishing as the second-highest wicket-taker in the competition.
Siraj came up with 44 wickets in the year, the high point being six for 21 against Sri Lanka during the Asia Cup final that India won deservingly.
Kuldeep captured 49 ODI wickets last year, with his best figures being five for 25 versus Pakistan during the Asia Cup's Super-Four stage.
Shami was dominant throughout the year, claiming four fifers, while his best figures were seven for 57 against New Zealand during the World Cup semi-final in Mumbai.
