Mumbai will miss key batsman Sarfaraz Khan in their opening game of the All India Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament (August 15-18) against Delhi in Salem, Tamil Nadu, today.
Sarfaraz, 25, who got married to a Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) girl, Romana recently, is yet to join the Dhawal Kulkarni-led team in Salem. It is learnt he will be available for Mumbai's second league match against J&K on August 27.
Mumbai will also miss injured all-rounder Suryansh Shedge. Batsman Pranav Kela will replace him in the 14-member squad.
However, India all-rounder Shivam Dube, who will be on national duty for a three-match T20I series against Ireland from August 18 to 23 at Malahide, Dublin, will be keen to play Mumbai's second Buchi Babu game against J&K.

The tournament consisting of four-day matches is considered as Mumbai's preparation for the 2023-24 domestic season.
An eight-day gap between Mumbai's two Buchi Babu matches will be put to good use with the team scheduled to play a couple of 90-overs practice games against Tamil Nadu.
