As Team India is set to clash with Afghanistan in the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2024, former spinner Harbhajan Singh praised the side's performances in the group stage. He also added that Hardik Panyda's ball show and Rishabh Pant scoring runs at number three are the biggest positives from the T20 World Cup 2024 campaign so far.
Rohit Sharm-led India remained unbeaten in the group-stage matches. Rohit and Co. defeated Ireland, Pakistan and the USA before their last T20 World Cup 2024 group stage match against Canada was cancelled due to a wet outfield.
"The biggest positive is that Hardik Pandya took the wicket. He was the fourth bowler in this tournament. But if you look at his wicket tally, he has done much better than what was expected of him," Harbhajan said on 'Star Sports'.

Hardik Pandya coming off a poor run in the IPL 2024 has bagged seven wickets.
Rishabh Pant after recovering from injuries has been consistently scoring runs for India with a strike rate of 124.67 in the T20 World Cup 2024.
"Along with him, Rishabh Pant played at number 3. His role was completely changed. Before this World Cup, we were saying that Sanju Samson will play in the team because he has made big runs.
"To make Rishabh Pant play at number three is a big positive. Left-Right combination is formed when Rishabh Pant plays at number three," Harbhajan said on Pant's promotion up the order.
Team India will lock horns with Afghanistan in the Super 8 match on June 20 in Barbados. Having played the T20 World Cup 2024 group stage matches in the USA, Harbhajan Singh said that the side has what it takes to adapt to the new conditions.
"There are a lot of positives. Of course, there are challenges and difficulties. But the challenges come in front of those who are brave. This team is a team of brave players. "They fought well and played very well. Because of this, they topped the group," he said.
