Top-order batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal's 45 and a disciplined bowling show by left-arm spinner Shams Mulani helped Mumbai beat Uttarakhand by two runs in a thrilling Group âA' encounter of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Saturday.
Batting first, Mumbai scored 174-5 in the allotted 20 overs. Jaiswal's 27-ball knock was laced with five fours and one six. Opener Ajinkya Rahane (34 off 28 balls) was the other top-scorer for Mumbai. Leg-spinner Himanshu Bisht claimed three wickets for Uttarakhand.

In reply, opener Avneesh Sudha (96 off 66 balls) took Uttarakhand closer to the target, before he caught by Mulani off pacer Tushar Deshpande (1-33) in the penultimate over as the Aditya Tare-led Uttarakhand side fell short by just two runs.
