As the Border-Gavaskar Trophy inches closer, the Australian media has started promoting the series through different posters. Several newspapers have used Virat Kohli's image on their lead page. Also, Fox Cricket aired the poster during the third ODI match between Pakistan and Australia which featured Kohli and Pat Cummins

Having debuted in the longest format of the game in 2011, Virat Kohli has established his name as one of the finest Test batsmen and modern-day greats

Since his debut, the Indian stalwart has featured in 13 Test matches in Australia. Having batted in 25 innings, the right-hander has accumulated 13,52 runs which also includes six centuries and four half-centuries

Overall, he has played 25 Test matches against the Aussies. His glorious longest-format career saw him smashed the Australian bowlers for 2,042 runs which is also his highest runs scored against one nation in Test cricket. Kohli also has eight tons and five half-centuries against the "Baggy Greens"

The year 2024 has been a roller coaster ride for Virat Kohli, The Test batsman. In six Tests, he has been able to score just 250 runs with one half-century. His best score in the year has been 70 runs

One of the most memorable knocks of Virat Kohli on Australian soil came at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Although the knock was played against India's arch-rivals Pakistan in the T20I format, it still goes down as one of the finest innings played by an overseas player in Australia. In the high-voltage contest between India and Pakistan, the right-hander pulled off a masterclass while chasing a target of 160 runs

Having lost early wickets of the Indian openers, Virat Kohli stood firm and played an unbeaten knock of 82 runs off just 53 deliveries. Often hailed as "Chase-Master", Kohli smashed 6 fours and 4 sixes in MCG

Facing the prime Australian attack at MCG having the likes of Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Shane Watson and Nathan Lyon, Kohli smashed 169 runs. His knock came in 272 balls which saw the star Indian smash 18 fours

In the same match, Kohli scored 54 runs in 99 balls which was laced with 7 fours in the second innings
