It is a known fact that after the legendary Rahul Dravid, Cheteshwar Pujara is considered to be India's Wall following his batsmanship in the longest format of the game

Test cricket being Pujara's top format, the right-hander has so far featured in 103 matches. The Gujarat-based cricketer has garnered 7,195 runs with his career-best being unbeaten 206 runs

Apart from his batting skills, not many know that Cheteshwar Pujara is only third among the three Indian batsmen who have batted on each day of the five-day Test match. The match was against Sri Lanka where the right-hander played the knocks of 52 and 22 runs at Eden Gardens in 2017

Pujara is known for his patience and classical strokes, but the one match that proved what the current Team India's Wall was capable of was the Gabba Test in 2021. In India's first essay, the right-hander scored 25 runs after facing 94 deliveries which saw him hit 2 fours

In the second innings of the same match, where all the Indian batsmen were looking to push their team for a win, Cheteshwar Pujara was the man who made sure India didn't lose. With immense grit and experiencing severe blows on his body, Pujara registered a score of 56 runs off 211 balls. Anchoring the Indian innings against Australia, he smashed 7 fours

To date, Cheteshwar Pujara is considered to be one of the most premium Test batsmen to have ever played the game
