On October 2, 2022, having need to bat first, India posted a total of 237 runs against South Africa in Guwahati. The top-scorer for the side was Suryakumar Yadav as he scored 61 runs in just 22 balls including 5 fours and 5 sixes. While chasing, the Proteas were restricted to 221 runs for the loss of three wickets. The "Men in Blue" won the match by 16 runs

In the match against South Africa on October 4, 2022, India opted to bowl first at the Holkar Stadium. With the help of Rilee Roussouw's unbeaten 100, the Proteas posted 227 runs on board. While chasing, India was folded for 178 runs in 18.3 overs. Dwaine Pretorius was the man to strike three wickets and guide SA to 49 run-win

On March 30 2022, India opted to bowl first against South Africa in Johannesburg. Riding on Collin Ingram's 78 runs, the side registered 219 runs. While chasing Robin Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir stayed unbeaten on 18 and 49 runs, but South Africa won the match by Duckworth Lewis Method

On June 9, 2022, South Africa opted to field first after winning the toss at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Facing 48 balls, Ishan Kishan scored 76 runs including 11 fours and 3 sixes. Team India posted 211 runs for the loss of four wickets. In the second innings, Rassie van der Dussen played an unbeaten knock of 75 runs off just 46 balls. His knock was laced with  7 fours and 5 sixes. With this, South Africa successfully chased the target in 19.1 overs

In the T20I match between India and South Africa on February 18, 2018, the Proteas elected to bowl first. India managed to score 203 runs with the help of Shikhar Dhawan's 72-run knock. It included 10 fours and 2 sixes. While chasing the target, Reeza Hendricks was the only SA's batsman who played a big knock. He scored 70 runs in 50 balls but failed to take the side home as India won the match by 28 runs

On December 14, 2023, India set a target of 202 runs after batting first against South Africa. Suryakumar Yadav was the standout performer as the veteran scored 100 runs off just 56 deliveries. While chasing the Proteas were bowled out for just 95 runs in 13.5 overs, thanks to wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav for his exceptional five-wicket haul. The Blues won the match by 106 runs
