India's top cueist Pankaj Advani today said that he would like to play for the country in major tournaments in Pakistan.
Advani, who arrived here to take part in Asian Snooker Championship, told reporters that sports knows no boundaries and if he gets an opportunity to play in Pakistan, he would be happy to tour the neighbouring country.
"Sports have a potential to bridge the divide between the people of the two countries," he said.
Recalling his earlier tours of Pakistan, he said that no other country welcomed him the way the neighbouring nation did.

To a question on the security related issues, he said that many a times these sensitive issues are politically motivated.
On the issue of giving Bharat Ratna to top sportspersons, he said without naming anyone that a player may be excellent and treated like god, but if the present rules did not permit to award him the highest honour, then this issue should not have been raised at all.
