Sidhu's best placements during this year's ISSF World Cup Series had been two eighth-place finishes, in Changwon (Korea) and in Munich.

But when three other international athletes withdrew their participation, she was handed a spot, thanks to the points she had gained in Changwon and Munich.

Four-time Olympian Viktoria Chaika, from Belarus, clinched the bronze medal with 176.8 points.
