Irish golfer Rory McIlroy has decided to switch off communication with the rest of the world following his announcement of having split with fiance Caroline Wozniacki.

The former World No 1 golfer, who is currently playing in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, told reporters that he has decided to keep his mobile off and done away with his personal computer since ending his relationship with Wozniacki.
"I haven't turned on my phone for a few days and I've given my laptop away. I'm sort of living like I'm in the 1970s," ," World No 10 McIlroy told reporters after returning two eagles in a four-under-par 68 in the opening round of the PGA event.
"It's a tough week and I'm not really that comfortable standing here talking about it. I don't think you'd be a human being if it wasn't tough," he added.
