It's not just cricket that Jemimah Rodrigues is crazy about. The Bandra lass is equally thrilled with a hockey stick in hand. Jemimah first took to cricket when she was just four, while hockey was her second love. From representing St Joseph's, Bandra in inter-school tournaments, Jemimah progressed to represent Maharashtra in junior national hockey.
After juggling between the two sports, she finally settled for cricket after experiencing success.

"I never thought of pursuing cricket at a higher level. Thanks to my elder brothers [Enoch and Eli] and my father [Ivan], who is also my coach, I started taking cricket seriously," Jemimah said about her switch from hockey to the willow game. The Rizvi College student said hockey helped her with her fitness. "Hockey helped me in my fitness and footwork. It also helped build my speed and stamina. I still get calls from hockey selectors, but I'm now focussed on cricket," she revealed.
