Punjab defeated Karnataka Lions 4-1 en route to the final of the inaugural World Series Hockey competition here yesterday. Mathew Hotchkis (18), Karamjit Singh (40), Harpreet Singh (65) and Prabhjot Singh (68) were on target for Punjab, Naveen Kumar (11) scored for the Lions.
Pune Strykers came back from 1-4 down to edge out Chandigarh Comets 7-6 via tie-break in the other-semifinal. Strykers' last goal from their eighth penalty corner scored by Simrandeep Singh helped them edge out the Comets 3-2 in the tie-break.
