Stanislaus' Kyle Pereira scores fastest goal in inter-school football

St Stanislaus (Bandra) right-half Kyle Pereira scored the fastest goal of the U-14 league and apparently the fastest goal scored ever against Cathedral and John Connon (Fort).

At the blow of the whistle, Pereira instinctively gave it his all and smacked the ball from the half-line, and with wind in his favour he saw the ball sail over the Cathedral 'keeper and into the back of the net. The reigning champions were 2-0 victors eventually.

"We practice this shot regularly and I just thought of giving it a try.

"We didn't have a great day yesterday. It was something really hard to believe that we lost 6-0 to Don Bosco.
We just wanted to perform better than our U-16 side," said Kyle.
