U-14 cricket: Musheer, Shegde hit tons for Mumbai

Musheer Khan, who is better known for his left-arm spin skills in Mumbai cricket, yesterday cracked a hundred for Mumbai under-14 against Saurashtra in the West Zone tournament at Rajkot yesterday.

One-drop batsman Musheer stayed unbeaten with 153 at the end of the opening day with partner Suryansh Shegde also scoring a century. Suryansh, coming in at No.4 slammed an unbeaten 164 to help Mumbai end the day with 373 for two. Musheer hit 16 boundaries while Suryansh had 22 hits to the fence.

Saurashtra skipper Karan Suchak used as many as eight bowlers which included himself. Karan opened the bowling and went wicketless in 18 overs in which he conceded
74 runs.
