Indian poultry giants Venky's yesterday denied reports they are planning to sell struggling EPL club Blackburn Rovers. Qatar Petroleum, a Middle East oil company, have been linked with a takeover at Ewood Park.

"We have no interest in selling Blackburn Rovers whatsoever," Venky's co-owner Venkatesh Rao told Lancashire Telegraph.

This Saturday marks the first anniversary of Venky's takeover with Rovers second from bottom in the table after taking just six points from their first 11 games this season.
