As Beijing Olympics bronze medallist Vijender Singh gears up for his Asian Olympic Qualifier semi-final against Youth Olympics champion Nursahat Pazziyev of Turkmenistan, there could be a slight twist in the tale.

Vijender (75 kg) has already qualified for the Olympics having reached the semis here, and coach Gurbux Singh Sandhu said he could well take it easy hereon. "Vijender will take it easy.

This gold medal is not important to us. The Olympics is our sole aim. So, if this gold comes the normal way, it's fine but Vijender will not go all out for gold here," Sandhu told MiD DAY yesterday. Besides Vijender, four Indian boxers - L Devendro Singh (49kg), Jai Bhagwan (60kg), Manoj Kumar (64kg) and Vikas Krishan (69kg) - have already made it to the London Games.u00a0
