Ritu Phogat, born May 2, 1994, in Haryana India, is an Indian female professional wrestler-turned-MMA fighter.

Ritu Phogat is part of the famed and reputed Phogat sisters - six sisters who are all female wrestlers.

Ritu Phogat is the third daughter of Mahavir Phogat, who was a professional wrestler. Her sisters are Geeta Phogat, Babita Phogat and Sangeeta Phogat.

Ritu Phogat's cousins Vinesh Phogat and Priyanka are also professional wrestlers who have represented the country.

The Phogat sisters' success sent waves across the media in the country following their fight with gender inequality and child marriage in order to pursue their respective careers.

Ritu Phogat posted this photo with her sisters and wrote: To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there.

It was at age 8 that Ritu Phogat began training under her father Mahavir Singh Phogat.

While in Standard X, Ritu Phogat decided to drop out of school in order to specifically focus on wrestling and pursue it.

Ritu Phogat, besides wrestling, is also a mixed martial artist.

Ritu Phogat won a gold medal at the 2016  Commonwealth Wrestling Championship.

In 2016 at the Pro Wrestling League auction, Ritu Phogat became the most expensive female wrestler as she was purchased by Jaipur Ninja's for Rs 36 lakh.

At the 2017 Asian Championships in New Delhi, Ritu Phogat earned a bronze medal. In the same year, Ritu Phogat won India's first-ever silver medal at the World U-23 Wrestling Championships.

In November 2019, Ritu Phogat made her martial arts debut at ONE Championship: Age Of Dragons.

At the 2021, ONE Women's Atomweight World Grand Prix championship, Ritu Phogat was the runner-up after she was defeated by Stamp Fairtex in the final.
