Well-known restaurateur Neeti Goel is always seen at the forefront whenever there is a shoutout for people in need. The socialite was presented the Trendsetter 2022 award on 24th February by the honourable Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, for her massive humanitarian aid and development work. The event was arranged by Times applaud, a notable digital news portal to recognize individuals and leaders who give, advocate and volunteer for positive change. The ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan Mumbai.


 


Neeti Goel is already a successful woman entrepreneur in the restaurant sector In Mumbai. Neeti is the daughter of a well-known industrialist, the late Mr. S.K. Gupta basically hails from Chandigarh. Presently she is based in Mumbai.


She is the brain behind many reputed restaurants in and around Mumbai, such as ‘Keiba’ ‘Ostaad’ ‘Madras Diaries’ ‘Madras Express’ & ‘Nom nom. She has also launched the signature getaways -Villa Amore- A premium staycations in Alibagh. in 2019, Neeti Goel was awarded the restaurateur of the year at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. And her venture ranked 2nd amongst the top 50 restaurants in the world.

 

Neeti Goel is always known for her philanthropic work and social activism. Her dedication and tireless commitment to the community came into public view, especially during the pandemic. Firstly, she co-founded the ‘Ghar bhejo’ relief initiative with actor Sonu Sood throughout Lockdown 1.0, where they transported1.5 lacs migrant workers back home. Furthermore, she established relief camps at Thane, Nasik highway, Vashi, Dahisar, which catered to 2.5 lakh migrants walking home.

 

The humanitarian worker, led from the front to curb Mumbai’s hunger Crisis by undertaking the initiative” khaana chahiye, an UN-recognized NGO that started with 1200 meals and is currently distributing at 80 lakhs plus meals now meals to the needy.

Neeti also worked for the Shramik Campaign with the BMC by adopting 282 trains where she catered Food & water to the migrant workers. She even distributed 50,000 plus ration kits to the poor households, adopting stray dogs & cats, serving meals in the Mumbai control room & Fire department, relief to Rambo circus group, as well as sex workers in Maharashtra during the covid crisis. The list, as mentioned earlier, of work is like a clip amongst many of her contributions to society.

 

It was not only during the Covid era that Neeti Goel has discharged her social responsibilities and showcased her compassion to voluntarily step out and serve the people. Whether it’s about the cyclone relief work, which benefited 70000 people, or when there were outcries from stranded students aboard, she made it a point to rescue and bring them back on charter flights to India. Under the women empowerment drive, Neeti undertook the Sanitary pad distribution program where 50000 sanitary napkins were distributed to sex workers, women in migrant camps, women prisoners in Thane and Byculla jails, 32 orphanages and other needy women.

 

She continued with her relief work during successive lockdowns. From arranging emergency ambulance service to providing portable oxygen at Doorstep, or cooked meals, ration kits, and other daily essentials, Neeti’s efforts were visible all around.
